How we research stories.
We keep factual claims connected to the sources that support them. An announcement date, a release date and an event inside a story are different records.
Our source hierarchy
- Original material: the issue, film, episode or game, with a specific reference when available.
- Official publishers and studios: catalogs, announcements and publishing material.
- Creators: attributable interviews and direct statements.
- Reliable secondary reporting: context and gaps that primary sources do not resolve.
- Community sources: leads for investigation, not automatic confirmation.
Versions and countries stay separate
A comic-book claim does not automatically apply to a screen adaptation. An English-language source does not prove U.S. availability. We identify uncertainty and preserve earlier claims when a source changes or a conflict is resolved.
Original writing and AI disclosure
We summarize research in our own words and link to the evidence. AI may assist organization, drafting and translation. Assistance is disclosed; it does not count as human review, firsthand viewing or proof that a claim is correct. Publisher images also require a documented usage basis.
Corrections and freshness
A newly discovered old announcement belongs in the archive. We update dates only when content actually changes. Material factual corrections should explain what changed and retain the supporting evidence.
